Our Story- no word of a lie

The year was 2006: Ben and Makenzie unknowlingly were taking swimming lessons together at Turtle Lake, where they both failed level 5. Fifteen years later, when Makenzie was attending the University of Saskatchewan, she became friends with Kate, Ben's sister. Back in 2021, Ben and Makenzie had to close chapters in their own books; moving to new cities, going back to school and the list goes on. In 2024 the stars aligned. Now their new story, with new chapters, new plot, new characters, begins October 24, 2026!Everyone loves a true love story.

OUR EVENT SPACE!We are tying the knot at an incredible space along the river that will be used for our entire day. Following the ceremony the room will be transformed into our reception space. Guests are to return at 5:00 for cocktail hour and surprise entertainment, but are welcome to stay and enjoy other spaces within the building, during that time. The Remai Modern is an art gallery that will be privately open to our guests following our ceremony.

This restaurant is located inside our venue on the main floor and also our caterer! Hearth opens at 11:00am.

Just steps away (3-5 minutes) from both our venue and hotel block, the Sugar Shack is right along the river. Great place for ice-cream, dole-whip, and small snacks. Ben rates the hotdogs 8.75/10. For scale: Costco is his 10/10.

Dinner will be a 3 Course Plated Dinner that includes a main of pan seared chicken breast with roasted carrot purée and barley risotto, fried kale and chicken jus. Sides to be decided in the future.

The children's meal will be a cheesy pasta with a dessert.
